Keeping our campers happy and safe

What does 'Kid Friendly, clean and quiet' refer to?  It is our concept of what a family campground should be.  It is both our philosophy and our daily goal to provide family friendly activities and atmosphere. To maintain clean modern facilities and to provide a secure and quiet atmosphere at night.

When is check in and out time?  Check in time is from 2pm - 9pm and check out time is by 12pm. Early arrivals and late departures are permitted if the site is available but would require an additional fee. Call the morning of your arrival for availability. If you arrive prior to 2pm without permission from the office you will not be granted access into the park until check in time. We DO NOT have additional parking accommodations on site for those who arrive early. For late departure availability also contact the office for information. Those who occupy a site later than 12pm without contacting the office for availability will be subject to the late check out fee. Check out times are strictly enforced.

Are we allowed to have visitors?  Yes. Visitors are permitted but please advise them of the following information: All visitors must stop at the office first, no exceptions. There is a visitor fee, even for their pets, but it may be refunded if the stay is less than one hour. Visiting hours are between 8am and 9pm. Visitors who arrive between 8pm - 9pm will be charged for an overnight stay. Visitors with their own camping equipment must obtain their own site. We reserve the right to deny access to any visitor. You are responsible for your visitors, so if you are not on the premises, you’re visitors will not be permitted.

Are overnight guests allowed?  Yes. As long as they check in before 9pm and are staying with you in your camping equipment. Overnight visitors may set up one tent in addition to your camping unit. We have a strict 1 unit and 1 tent, or 2 tent maximum policy.  We reserve the right to deny any visitor an overnight pass. Over-crowding a site is not permitted and is determined by the office.

What are your quiet hours? 11pm to 8am. We are a quiet, family oriented campground and with this in mind, we strictly enforce our quiet hours. Violators may be asked to leave without warning. Young children are not allowed to roam the property alone after 9pm.

How many vehicles are permitted per site? Most sites can accommodate 2 vehicles. However, there are some sites that can only take one. If necessary, one can be left in our parking lot.

Are fishing licenses required in order to fish in Lower Range Pond?  Yes, they are. We do sell them in the store, however. Ask for information upon check in.

I'd like to bring my boat, what do I need to know?  Lower Range Pond has a 9.9 hp limit strictly enforced by Fish and Game. If you have a motor, current registration is required.  We offer daily, weekly, and monthly boat slip rentals. You are not permitted to leave boats by the water's edge. Ask the office upon check-in for boat slip rental availability. Otherwise, your boat must remain on your site when not in use. We strongly recommend you lock them.

Are bikes permitted?  Yes, during daylight hours only. They must be ridden on roads , not between the sites. Helmets are strongly encouraged.

Are pets permitted? Yes, at the discretion of the campground. We have a designated dog beach located by the boat launch. They must be quiet and hooked to a leash at all times, even on your campsite. Please do not allow them on the campsites of others. They must be cleaned up after. They are not allowed in the beach, pool or playground areas, nor in any of the buildings. They may not be left unattended.

May I bring my minibike? Minibikes, trail bikes, four wheelers, and most other single person or unregistered motorized conveyances, chain saws, generators, firearms and outside refrigerators are not permitted.

What if I need to cancel or leave early? CANCELLATION POLICY: A $20.00 service fee will be applied to all cancellations before any refund will be issued. Reservation cancellations must be requested 14 days prior to arrival in order to receive a refund. Cancellations made 13 to 1 day(s) prior to arrival date are eligible for Poland Spring Camp Credit(minus $20.00 service fee), to remain on reservation holder’s client account, valid for use after the cancelled reservation’s date of departure. All credits are issued to reservation holder and are non-transferable. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to arrival time (2:00 pm) will forfeit all deposits.

Date Changes:

Date changes without penalty require 14 days advanced notification. In the event you need to shorten the dates of your stay, your site number may no longer be honored. Shortening the dates of a reservation 13 to 1 day(s) prior to arrival will require payment in full for the entire reservation, and then a Poland Spring Camp Credit (minus $20.00 service fee) will be issued to the reservation holder’s client account, valid for use after the altered reservation’s date of departure. All credits are issued to reservation holder and are non-transferable. Date changes made less than 24 hours prior to arrival time (2:00 pm) will not be eligible for any credits or refunds.
